Description

Mammoths were proboscideans that dominated the Earth from 1.3 million years ago to 11,000 years ago. Their fossils have amazed humanity and they are creatures that enjoy great popularity, from their first discoveries to the present day.

There were different species of mammoths, and probably the most famous is the Mammuthus primigenius, better known as the woolly mammoth, and although it is the most mentioned, it was not the largest mammoth. The largest mammoth was the Mammuthus columbi, or columbine mammoth and it is the one on which our WONDER Artistic Models model is based.

This beautiful model of large size, robust and with an unmatched level of detail was designed with organic lines that convey the beauty and majesty that these animals had, and that we can perceive today when looking at their fossils in museums.

The Mammuthus columbi is the first mammal to join the WONDER collection and it does so in a spectacular way, as it is among the largest models and one with the largest number of pieces, exceeding 300.

In addition to its beauty, our Mammuthus columbi model has an articulated jaw. But not only that, his neck is articulated in 2 sections, which allows his head to be placed in 3 positions from top to bottom and from right to left.

At WONDER Artistic Models we are proud to have obtained these results with the mammoth models, not only because of what it means scientifically or in popular culture, but because it is one more model that represents the ideals of the brand, it is an object that amazes you just by looking at it. A true gem of our collection.

De sus mejores modelos. El volumen dado a los cuernos es de sus mejores aciertos, por no hablar del cráneo en general, pues se ve la textura de los molares y eso me encantó.
