Description

The Stegouros elengassen was a herbivorous dinosaur that lived during the Cretaceous period. It was described and published in December 2021, and since then it has caused great excitement both in the scientific community and in the dinosaur-loving fanatic.

Our model faithfully follows the specifications described in the official report. It features a great level of detail and was designed with a dynamic and elegant posture. It has beautiful details on the club at the end of its tail, which paleontologists have named macuahuitl after an ancient defense tool from the Aztec culture.

The Stegouros was a herbivorous dinosaur approximately 2 meters long and 1 meter tall. Although not large in size, it is a striking and unique creature, as the shape of the club at the end of its tail has not been observed in any other species until now.

Stegouros, along with Chilesaurus diegosuarezi and Carnotaurus sastrei, are now among the most interesting and peculiar dinosaurs in the world, all found in Chilean Patagonia and, in the case of Carnotaurus, Argentine Patagonia. All these outstanding dinosaurs are part of our select collection.

The model’s head can be positioned at any angle from right to left and has a posable jaw. It also features a base that allows a maximum level of stability. In addition, the end of the tail can be placed in 2 positions from right to left.
