Grasshoppers are one of the most popular and easily recognizable insects. They are often confused with locusts, although they do not swarm like locusts do.

Our model is inspired by the American Groasshopper (also known as American bird grasshopper), which is found in the eastern United States, Mexico and the Bahamas. It is a simple but versatile design that can be placed in aerial pose and ground pose. It’s hind legs are 2-point articulated and allow both poses to look truly organic.

Its wings are made of sugar cane paper and can be folded or stretched origami style to make both poses more convincing and give the model a touch of realism and organicity that you will not believe when you have it in front of you.

You can put this model together with the Scorpion to make a scene worthy of being represented in any natural museum.
