Description
Juvenile T. rex or Nanotyrannus?
These models were designed in March 2024. At that time, the acceptance of the Nanotyrannus species was under debate, and scientists leaned more toward the idea that the fossils they had were the remains of juvenile Tyrannosaurus rex, not adult Nanotyrannus.
In October 2025, the debate reached a surprising conclusion. After an investigation, it was determined that the fossils were definitely from adult Nanotyrannus individuals. That is why our current stock consists of juvenile Tyrannosaurus rex.
If you purchase now, the packaging, instructions, illustrated booklet, and model bases will say “Tyrannosaurus rex.” However, once this stock is depleted, we will modify the information in the booklet and replace the name on the packaging, instructions, and bases.
All customers who have purchased juvenile T. rex specimens can choose to receive the new bases and brochure completely free of charge, if they wish. These will be included in their next order, or they will only have to pay the shipping cost.
Nanotyrannus was a theropod dinosaur of the Tyrannosaurus family, the same family as the imposing T. rex. Just mentioning the word “Tyrannosaurus” conjures up images of enormous predators, but the modest Nanotyrannus also belongs to this family of giants.
On the other hand, the Tyrannosaurus rex is among the best known and studied dinosaurs. When we think of T. rex, this enormous predator comes to mind, but this leviathan did not always have those dimensions, at some point in its life it was a tender and playful dinosaur.
The T. rex juvenile siblings models at a 1:20 scale are an excellent reference point to learn about this species, its anatomy and the changes it undergoes during its growth. The pose of each one reflects a different personality and when you see them you will be able to recognize each one as separate individuals.
Their skulls can move freely at any angle from left to right from the base and their tails are divided into several points so you can curve them to give them a more organic and realistic appearance. Additionally, you can swap the skulls between them and place them on the body you prefer..
You can even place the juvenile T. rex models next to the Tyrannosaurus rex DELUXE model that represents the adult and you can appreciate how fascinating the changes in physiognomy and dimensions are between both stages of life.
This models are a must-have in the paleofauna collection and in that home museum that delights and educates anyone who observes it.
If you are interested in this model, please keep in mind that we designed it at a 1:20 scale, maintaining its real proportions. Therefore, the parts of these models can be fragile and delicate.
All of our models include replacement parts, and this one is no exception! But consider that you will have to be delicate when assembling this model to obtain the desired result. After putting it together, you will see that it was worth it.

This pair is very adorable and I am relatively happy with them. My one issue I ran into was that these models are rather fragile in comparison to others. I do think this is mostly due to their size (as these are the smallest model I’ve built) but this is something to be aware of. I ended up chipping/splitting more pieces than I have with any of the other puzzles I’ve built. However the pair are adorable together and look very nice in my collection of varied models.

I brought these as a side peice for my deluxe t.rex and they are just the sweetest little things! All the parts went together really nicely and in case they didn’t some very nice sandpaper was included to get them the right size. Everything about the completed model, the packaging, and the material just screams quality and I’m quite pleased with them especially since they only set me back about £20.
-To anyone thinking about picking up one of the larger models for the first time like me, these are a perfect warm up.
-To anyone who is buying the deluxe t.rex, these are the perfect add-ons and breath a sence of life and history into the display.
-And lastly to anyone buying a larger model with a child, sibling, or younger family member who takes interest in this stuff, these would be perfect for them while you tackle the larger builds!

Got these for free with the mother T. rex in a Women’s day deal. I am very pleased with how these figures look, it was relatively easy to assemble it with the instructions given. Since there are two animals in this one you’ll spend a lot of time doing vertebrae, which I always find the most tedious part of any build, but the results are definitely worth it. I have them proudly displayed next to their much larger mother!

Like most people, I bought this guys to go along with the larger adult rex model.
This is an outstanding model, my one concern is that they were delicate. This is a larger issue with the builder rather than the quality. I would recommend being extra careful as the bones of this set are very small and easy to break with too much force.
Thank you!
